I am hoping to buy a 2002 Thunderbird Blue car in mint condition & Low miles. It is a Deluxe version. Can I buy & install a Hard Top to a deluxe without any Drilling or special installing ?

Yes, you can - All hardtops for any year will fit any year, premium or deluxe. No drilling or special installing need but there is an installation tool required to screw the top down at the center header. It's called a torx wrench - size T40 - available at your hardware store if none can be found with a hardtop that you might pick up for your t-bird. There may be some adjustments at the center header to make if the holes don't quite line up. Check the forums for help along that line - Thunderbirdnest.com or thunderbirdtalk.com You may also download a free brochure from motorcraft.com that explains how to install the hardtop

I am wanting to change the cabin filter on my 2002. Is there a web site with instructions? Or can someone give me the instructions?

Michael,
Cabin filter replacement instructions with pictures may be found on the ThunderbirdNest.com forums in their tech forum but you need to join in order to find it. It's free to join.
This link will go direct to the instructions if you are signed in to their forums:

our 04 t-bird shakes like hell and the dealer told us it was the tires . 2000 milse on the car , can you shed any light on this subject , it's a beautiful car and my husband loves it but can't drive it ?

Art & Sandra,
First, check your tire pressure - it should be between 30 and 32 psi. If that doesn't help, have your dealer tighten the cross braces or you could do it yourself if handy. bolts on cross braces should be tightened to 46ft-lbs.

I have two T-Birds a 03 And a 05. I have a squeaking noise from the steering colum at very low speeds in both cars. I have tried WD-40 betweeen the sterring wheel and the steering column and it stops, but only for a couple days.

Bernie,
Sounds like you may need to dig a little deeper since you're getting a partial stoppage of the squeak. Do you have the workshop manual for the 05? It might help you figure out how to get a lubricant deeper into the columns.
